Weekday after-school support for Grades 1–8 (Mon–Fri, 1pm–5pm): fun activities, study skills, creative writing, quizzes, and homework help—all in one structured afternoon.

We support all syllabi · NSSCO, NSSCAS, CAMBRIDGE & more
Exam-focused tutoring and structured revision—with coaches who meet learners where they are, from primary through senior secondary.
In calculus, maxima and minima are where a curve peaks or dips. That's the idea behind our name—helping your child find their best.
What we offer
After Care for primary learners, Saturday blocks for sciences and maths through senior secondary, optional weekday 1-on-1, and coaching from Renella and Ester.
Weekday after-school support for Grades 1–8 (Mon–Fri, 1pm–5pm): fun activities, study skills, creative writing, quizzes, and homework help—all in one structured afternoon.
Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for Grade 8 through senior secondary—weekly sessions up to two hours, with tiered fees when you take one or more subjects.
Need more than Saturdays? Book additional one-on-one tutoring during the week (N$ 150/hour), tailored to the topics and pace your child needs.
Teaching is aligned to Namibian and Cambridge-style pathways—past papers, exam technique, and clear milestones so families know what “done well” looks like.
Saturday subjects
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, plus mathematics and statistics modules—tell us your paper or module name. After Care (Grades 1–8) supports broader skills Monday–Friday.
Cell structure, genetics, ecology, and human physiology—diagrams, definitions, and long-form answers tuned to what examiners reward.
Stoichiometry, bonding, organic pathways, and calculations—balancing theory papers with structured “show your working” responses.
Mechanics, waves, electricity, and modern topics—problem-solving and practical-style questions aligned to your exam board’s assessment objectives.
Foundations across number, functions, and coordinate work—quadratics, series, and intro calculus so you’re ready for the next step in your maths pathway.
Equations, inequalities, identities, and circular measure—exam-style practice aligned with typical algebra and trigonometry modules.
Differentiation and integration with applications—rules, techniques, and exam-style “show that” questions at advanced pure level.
Descriptive statistics, discrete and continuous models, and expectation—core preparation for statistics-heavy exams and modules.
Interest, annuities, present value, and investment appraisal—useful for school-level applications and business or finance pathways that use mathematical models.
Sample spaces, conditional probability, independence, and discrete distributions—foundation for statistics papers and further inference work.
Data description, index numbers, simple regression intuition, and interpretation of economic data—aligned to introductory quantitative methods for economics modules.
Ratios, percentages, yield and unit conversions, budgets, and basic optimisation—applied numeracy for agribusiness and resource-management courses.
Estimation, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing—depth suitable for advanced school statistics and first-year university inference.
Our story
From peer support to structured tutoring—built for Namibian learners and families.
Maxima wasn’t dreamed up in a boardroom—it grew from the quiet hours before school tests, when Renella Matthews and her co-founder Ester Nakaleke studied together.
Ester had a gift for turning complex topics into simple, clear ideas—often helping classmates with patience and precision. That peer-to-peer experience planted the seed for what we do today: a space built on empathy, clarity, and confidence.
Together, Renella and Ester combined their strengths—structure and systems alongside content made simple—so learners could see mathematics and science as puzzles waiting to be solved, not monsters under the bed.
Renella’s own academic highs and lows shaped how she coaches: environments where it’s okay to make mistakes, ask questions, and move at your own pace. She believes every path to understanding is different—and that good teaching adapts. As a young woman in STEM, she also cares about visibility: showing girls they belong in technical spaces, through workshops, storytelling, and leading by example.
For us, success isn’t only measured in marks—it’s measured in confidence: the moment a learner stops saying “I can’t do this” and starts saying “I’ve got this.” That’s the mindset we want to carry beyond the classroom.
How it works

Reviews
What parents and learners say about exam prep, Saturday sciences, After Care, and the team in Windhoek.
“Our daughter was struggling to keep up with Grade 11 physics on top of everything else. The Saturday sessions gave her a clear revision rhythm and past-paper practice she actually uses. Communication with the coaches is straightforward—we always know what to reinforce at home.”
“I used to go blank in chemistry tests. Here they break each topic into small steps and drill how to read the question before you touch the numbers. For the first time I walked into a mock feeling like I had a plan, not just hope.”
“We enrolled our son in After Care because homework battles were exhausting. The space is calm, the support is consistent, and he asks more questions now than he ever did in class. As parents we finally feel like we're on the same page as his support team.”
