From idea to market – the 7‑stage sandbox process
LANCR follows a proven, transparent process supervised in Namibia by Bank of Namibia and NAMFISA — designed so teams can graduate with evidence and explore partnerships across Southern Africa when the moment is right. Whether you're a founder, bank, or vendor, here's what to expect.
Application
Submit your business plan, innovation description, and compliance details through our online portal. AI pre-scores each section.
Selection
Your application is scored against the Innovation Test and Net Public Benefit Test. Low-risk innovations take the fast-track path (7–14 days).
Testing Agreement
Define your test parameters: number of customers, transaction limits, KPIs, and risk safeguards. Signed digitally with BON/NAMFISA.
Testing & Monitoring
Run your live test with real customers under regulatory supervision. BON/NAMFISA monitors progress via the Regulator Dashboard in real time.
Progress Reports
Submit monthly/quarterly reports using our AI‑assisted templates. Regulators provide feedback and guidance.
Final Report
A comprehensive AI‑generated evaluation of your test outcomes, consumer impact, and readiness for market.
Exit
Successful tests receive a 'letter of no objection' or fast‑track to full licensing. Unsuccessful tests wind down with consumer protections in place.
Typical Timeline
The Regulatory Sandbox process typically takes 6–12 months. The digital sandbox (technical validation) is always open and free.
